Bath commuters to expect delays on London Paddington commute on Wednesday morning

A broken down freight train near Reading caused delays to commuters on the Bristol Temple Meads - London Paddington line this morning.

Initially First Great Western said to expect delays of up to 15 minutes, although by 8.30am they advised passengers to expect delays on some services of up to an hour.

The company has said to expect delays until it is sorted. The 6.48am service from Bristol Temple Meads to London Paddington had to be scheduled to call at Didcot Parkway this morning to pick up extra passengers affected by the delays.

First Great Western has said to expect a fully working service shortly, as the train is moved.
