What house can you buy in Bath for the price of a London garage?

A garage in South London has been put up for sale at £500,000.

The garage is just minutes away from Kensington Palace and it becomes one of the most expensive places in the world, simply, to just park you car.

If you wanted to spend that kind of money on a property in Bath, what would you get for your money?

At just under that kind of budget is a five bed house with lots of character along Wells Road. It sits at the end of a terrace and includes a studio apartment. It is in a great location being close to the city centre and has its own local amenities. The master room includes an en-suite and there are a further two bathrooms. There is, however, no garage!

Located not all that far away, in the beautiful Bradford-on-Avon, is a two-bed detached house which does include its own spacious garage, inclusive of a £235,000 asking price - better than half the price.

Bath is very well known for its architecturally stunning crescents and for £365,000 there is a renovated apartment. It might not include a garage but it definitely has better views.

Just south of the city in Wellow is a charming double fronted Grade II listed end of terrace house which includes everything but a garage for £465,000. Still, you might be able to park your car in its own rear courtyard. Fancy, and still under budget.

To see what properties are for sale in and around Bath then pick up a copy of the Bath Chronicle which is out tomorrow (and every Thursday), and check out the property listing pull-out.
