Dai Greene made a winning return to 400m hurdles action on Tuesday as he clocked 49.89secs in Budapest, beating world champion Jehue Gordon on the line.
Emir Bekric, who took world bronze in Moscow last year, was third, giving Greene two big scalps in his first race for 11 months following injury problems.
A delighted Greene tweeted: "A tough scrappy race tonight and I loved every second of it. So pleased to be back racing and even managed to sneak a win."
The former world champion, who trains with Malcolm Arnold at the University of Bath, will be looking to defend his Commonwealth Games title in the coming weeks and qualify for the European Championships, where he won gold in 2010.
