21st Signal Regiment to parade through Bath city centre

Soldiers from 21st Signal Regiment will parade through Bath city centre on Tuesday. The Mayor of Bath, Councillor Cherry Beath, will welcome the troops following their return from Afghanistan at a Homecoming Service with their families in Bath Abbey. After the service the troops exercise their right to march through the city centre before the mayor takes the salute outside the Guildhall. As a consequence a number of city centre roads will be closed the traffic. When Tuesday's Homecoming Service ends at 10.45am the Band of the Royal Artillery will lead the march from York Street to Orange Grove, Cheap Street, Westgate Street, Monmouth Street, Queen Square, George Street, Milsom Street, New Bond Street, finishing at the Guildhall in High Street. The following roads will be closed to traffic between 10am and 12pm on Tuesday. Cars will also not be allowed to park on them from Monday evening until 12pm on Tuesday. The roads are; Chapel Row Cheap Street Gay Street George Street Green Street High Street Milsom Street Monmouth Street New Bond Street Northgate Street North Side Orange Grove Queen Square Quiet Street St Paul's Place Terrace Walk Westgate Street Westside York Street
