Primary schoolchildren have been jetting off on their holidays without even leaving Bath, thanks to a college training exercise.
The City of Bath College invited youngsters from Kingswood Prep School to its life-size mock-up aircraft cabin as part of their Around the World in 80 Days project.
The five and six-year-olds had made their own passports and were checked in, before being handed their boarding passes and passing through security.
Travel and tourism students, who use the cabin as part of their training then served the children drinks and snacks as they enjoyed a quiz about different flags around the world.
Year 1 teacher Sian Higgins said: "It's been great for the children to interact with the students, they've learned from each other."
Travel and tourism lecturer Colette Williams said the college students had gained first-hand experience of interacting with children which fitted in with their customer service work.
She said: "These are students who could go on to work in the travel industry so they need experience of communicating with all different people.
"We're very happy to host the schoolchildren as it's been such a positive experience for us all. Everyone has enjoyed it and it's tied in nicely with what we're learning."
