Larkhall Athletic kicked-off their centenary year in style as the Toolstation League Premier Division leaders put a magnificent seven past Ilfracombe Town at Plain Ham yesterday. The wet weather meant Larkhall had not played since their Boxing Day win over Odd Down but there were no signs of rustiness as they raced into a four-goal lead at half-time. Leading scorer Tyler Sibbick started the rout with an early goal before Rob Hobbs and Jamie Lyons (2) effectively killed the game off before the break. There was no let-up in the second half as Sibbick quickly made it 5-0 before Jonny Davoile and Nat Auckland completed the demolition job. Bitton, who were thrown out of the FA Vase in midweek, ended a difficult few days on a high note by grabbing a last-gasp 3-2 victory over Melksham Town. The hosts, missing five key players due to injury and suspension, fell behind against the run of play to a Dan Kovacs strike in the 32nd minute. However, Tom Morgan deservedly levelled before half-time and Luke Bryan, who had provided the assist, fired Bitton into the lead from an Aysa Corrick corner five minutes after the break. Melksham responded well and made it 2-2 through Ian Jeffrey but it was Bitton who snatched the points in the dying seconds when Corrick ran from the halfway line and beat several defenders before firing home. Odd Down's match at Brislington was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.CLICK HERE TO SEE HOW THESE RESULTS AFFECTED THE LEAGUE TABLES
