The Perfect Murder starring Les Dennis and Claire Goose, adapted from the book by international best-selling crime thriller novelist Peter James, is set to tour to the Theatre Royal Bath from Monday, January 13 to Saturday, January 18.
This new stage production will mark the first time that the work of Peter James has been adapted for the stage.
With fans across the globe, the international author has sold more than 15 million books in his Roy Grace series and been published in 36 languages.
The Perfect Murder – which spent 15 weeks at No.1 in the book charts – has been adapted by award-winning writer Shaun McKenna and will be directed by Olivier Award-winner Ian Talbot.
Victor Smiley and his wife Joan have been married for a long time. But Victor secretly loathes Joan and is getting attention elsewhere.
Joan is bored stiff by Victor, whose irritating ways are driving her mad.
As the marriage reaches crisis point, Victor decides there is only one way to get Joan out of his life forever, but he's about to get a nasty surprise.
Starring as Victor is Les Dennis, one of Britain's most-loved actors and entertainers, with a long list of theatre, film and television credits to his name, as well as being well-known through the hit ITV game show Family Fortunes.
Claire Goose stars as Joan. An experienced actress, her many television roles include playing Tina Seabrook in the BBC's long-running series Casualty, for which she was nominated for a National Television Award.
