There has been major traffic congestion around the A420 to the north of Bath tonight after police shut the road in Wick.
There has been no information from police about what has led to the closure, which caused long delays and queues back as far as Lansdown Golf Club at times.
There was congestion in Freezinghill Lane and Bath Road from the early part of the rush hour.
