This year's Jane Austen Festival takes place from Friday, September 13 to 21.
As usual the festival, which attracts visitors from all over the world, opens with a grand Regency costumend promanade from 11am on Saturday, September 14. Even if you don't take part it is a grand occasion to just watch the many sumptuous costumes on display.
The promenaders gather on Royal Crescent lawn from 10am on wards.
