A Bath book club which was set up ten years ago has been celebrating the fact that it is still going strong a decade later.
The owner of Oldfield Park Bookshop, Harry Wainwright, came up with the initial idea after getting so many book club requests from his customers.
So many people attended the launch event back then that three book clubs were set up, with another four being started over the years.
Rebecca Shields, who lives in Oldfield Park, is a founder member of one of the original groups.
The 47-year-old said: "The secret of its success is very simple; if you really enjoy a book it is a perfect opportunity to bring out the parts that really interested you.
"You are sharing your experience and it really enhances the reading experience because sometimes other people pick out bits in the book that you haven't seen."
The group of 12 meets monthly in each other's homes and have read more than 100 books over the past decade, with some of their favourites being The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.
Mr Wainwright said he enjoyed helping book clubs form and then supporting them as they grew. He added that it was interesting to see how different people had different interpretations when reading the same book.

Meanwhile, book groups across the country have given their approval for a Bath author's work to be published.
Hookline Books lets its readers choose which novels get printed and this year they have selected Drawn to Perfection, by Bath Spa University graduate Victoria Owens.
It will be available in paperback and ebook format from June 30, and she will be reading from her novel at Toppings on July 19.
