A 21-year-old woman from Bath who has been left on crutches after being knocked off her bike is appealing for the driver who hit her to come forward. Margaret Mogg, who lives just off Englishcombe Lane, was riding through Oldfield Park on Wednesday when she was involved in a collision with a car. She was riding along West Avenue towards Triangle North at around midday when a silver car came over the railway bridge on Brook Road, failed to stop at the junction and knocked her off her bike. Miss Mogg, who works as a sales assistant in Poundland, had to have seven stitches to treat a cut on her leg and is now using crutches to get around. She said: "It is still very sore and my leg is very painful." The driver spoke briefly to her at the scene but drove off without leaving his details. Miss Mogg said she was a regular cyclist and had never been involved in an incident like this before. She is appealing for witnesses to come forward and help police with their inquiries. "I'm hoping that someone will help the police catch this man," she said. "Next time it could be a little child that he hits. "He is obviously a dangerous driver if he doesn't stop at junctions." The driver is described as white, in his 40s, of thin build with brown hair balding on top. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or the driver himself, is asked to contact Bath police on 101 quoting reference number 0443.
