A Bath independent school has appointed a new head teacher.
Andrew Marshall-Taylor will take over at Monkton Prep School from January, replacing Chris Stafford, who has led the school for the past 14 years.
Mr Marshall, who is married to Rosie and has a one-year-old daughter Martha, is currently deputy head of Twickenham Prep School in London.
He said: "Monkton Prep is a school which enables a strong sense of community and family to be maintained, whilst offering its pupils an outstanding all-round education, which also includes sport, drama and music of real quality.
"The school has a wonderful reputation for being able to draw out the very best in its pupils academically, pastorally and spiritually.
"On the basis of last year's excellent inspection report, it is clear that Monkton Prep is already strong in these areas."
He added that he was looking forward to starting his new post.
