A retired GP from Bath cycled 160 miles to raise money for a human rights charity.
Colin Aitken, 76, travelled from his home to London on two wheels in aid of the charity Freedom from Torture.
It is the furthest distance he has ever cycled and he arrived at the charity's head office in London two days later and having raised £660.
Dr Aitken, who worked as a GP in Scotland for 30 years before moving to Bath in 2010, said: "I felt very good at the end of the ride, thanks to the wonderful welcome, the giant banner, and the mini bottle of champagne I received."
Freedom from Torture provides direct clinical services to survivors of torture who arrive in the UK, as well as striving to protect and promote their rights.
Last year Dr Aitken helped to set up a new supporters group in Bath and Bristol.
He took up cycling after suffering a heart attack six years ago, and now cycles around 40 miles a week.
