A ten-year-old from Holt has won 100 books for his school after coming top in a South West regional reading competition.
Jack Casey, who is in Year 5 at Holt Primary School, near Bradford on Avon, took part in the Read for My School event.
It was organised by The Pearson Foundation and Booktrust, with support from the Department for Education, and involved children from more than 240 primary schools across the South West.
Jack picked up the prize for Most Interesting Written Responses to Books Read. During an event at Waterstones, in Milsom Street, he was presented with a Kindle e-reader, £30 Waterstones voucher, eight books for himself and 100 books for his school.
