Hosts Team Bath Buccs finished as runners-up in the men's competition when the annual Sitec Indoor Hockey League took place on Sunday.
The event was staged by Buccs at the University of the Westr of England and featured four men's and four women's teams, all looking to sharpen up ahead of the competitive indoor season that runs through December and January.
Cardiff & UWIC won the men's event, beating Buccs 3-0 along the way, with Robinsons third and West Wilts fourth. Buccs defeated the latter two sides 4-1 and 3-2 respectively.
Clifton topped the ladies table, with Firebrands second, Buccs third and West Wilts fourth. The hosts saw off West Wilts 4-0 but lost 2-0 to Firebrands and 3-1 to the eventual winners.
