Bonnets go on parade

Children across Bath have been getting creative to celebrate Easter with their own hand-made bonnets.

Pupils at St Philip's Primary School, in Odd Down, hosted an Easter bonnet parade to show off their decorative creations.

They drew inspiration from traditional springtime themes, with many of the hats adorned with colourful chicks, flowers and eggs.

Meanwhile youngsters attending the Gateway community centre in Snow Hill over the holidays have also been getting crafty.

They were given the opportunity to make rabbit ears, decorate baskets to put their Easter eggs in and create their own bonnet.

Centre manager Domenica Oatley said the organisation was growing all the time and had recently secured £4,000 in funding to expand its offer of clubs and events.

She said they were preparing to start a new toddler group on Wednesday mornings.
