A new treatment to help reduce chemotherapy-related hair loss is being offered to patients at CircleBath.

The DigniCap offers scalp-cooling, and the system monitors temperature to ensure comfort and consistent application of the treatment.

This can help to reduce the amount of hair patients lose during chemotherapy, and has been chosen by CircleBath as its preferred hair-loss treatment option for use in its oncology practice.

Oncology lead nurse Sandra Jones said she was hopeful it could make a real difference to patience undergoing chemotherapy.

She said: "We researched, deliberated and compared clinical and technical aspects of several scalp-cooling treatments before making our final decision.

"Then we decided that we needed to try the caps ourselves before offering them to our patients.

"DigniCap was eminently more comfortable and user-friendly.

"Add to that the assurance of clinically proven safety, and there was really no debate—DigniCap was our unequivocal choice.

"Our patients deserve only the best."

Results show that eight out of ten women in Europe and Asia who used the DigniCap System during chemotherapy retained their hair.
