Vandals have destroyed the outside terrace of The Green Park Brasserie in Bath.
Staff arrived at the restaurant in Green Park Station this morning to find that vandals had destroyed the terrace during the night.
Plant pots had been turned upside down, the backs of sofas kicked in and attempts were made to set fire to one of the umbrellas.
Owner Andrew Peters said: "It was very upsetting to see, as we have put a lot of time, effort and money into making this a nice place.
"This is not just mindless vandalism, someone has put thought and effort into destroying the terrace.
"I would like to thank the members of the public who stopped by to express their outrage and support and even more gratitude to those who rolled up their sleeves and helped us clear up.
"It is really heartening to know that people do appreciate what we are doing to improve the environment of Green Park Station and make the outside of the brasserie as welcoming as the inside."
