Around 500 schoolchildren have been trying their hand at singing, dancing and beat boxing during a music workshop at Bath Abbey.
The youngsters, from 11 primary and secondary schools across Bath and north east Somerset, took part in the two-day Schools' Singing Programme event.
At the end of each day they put on a concert to show off their newly acquired skills, which included African dancing and drumming, choral singing, songwriting and beat boxing.
The abbey's assistant director of music and choral director for schools Shean Bowers said he hoped the pupils would take away a new appreciation and love of all different types of music.
"Our hope is that these sessions will inspire them to a lifelong love of music, and to explore all the possibilities music brings."
The programme was set up three years ago and in that time has worked with more than 3,000 youngsters.
The participating schools this week were Freshford Primary, King Edward's School, St Julian's Primary, Weston All Saints Primary, King Edward's Pre-Prep, St Andrew's Primary, Widcombe Juniors, St John's C of E Primary, in Keynsham, St Philip's Primary, St Stephen's Primary and High Littleton Primary.
Pete Mountstephen, head teacher at St Stephen's, said the programme had been "a wonderfully positive force for our school".
"The children who have directly benefited have had their lives changed for the better forever, with some really transformational developments in personal confidence among one or two of the children."
