Three and easy as City of Bath ladies move to brink of title

A comfortable 3-0 home victory over Salisbury 2nds leaves City of Bath ladies 1sts on the brink of the West Clubs East Division title. Sarah Greenway's short-corner strike settled City's nerves and put them 1-0 up at the break. The player of the match doubled her tally in the second half before Tash Miller rounded off the win with a well-deserved goal. Imogen Hays made some crucial saves to protect City's 13th clean sheet in 14 outings this season. They are now 14 points clear of second-placed Frome, who have five games remaining and can wrap up the title with victory at West Wilts on Saturday. City 2nds were unlucky to lose 2-1 at Melksham, with Erika Birch scoring their equaliser. The 3rds, meanwhile, went down 4-1 at Clevedon 2nds despite a goal from Izzy Johnstone.
