Bath Postal Museum has joined the tributes to actor Richard Briers, who was the attraction's patron.
The Good Life star who died this week had become an official Friend of the city centre museum soon after its opening in 1979.
Founder Audrey Swindells said Briers would always call in when he was appearing at the Theatre Royal, and recorded a commentary for the museum which is played daily.
"He was not only a national treasure but a lovely man. He will be sadly missed."
