A teenager has appeared in court charged with sexual assault following an incident in Bath over the weekend.
George Tounkara, 19, of Oxford Row, on Lansdown Road, was at Bath Magistrates Court yesterday morning.
He was remanded in custody and the case has been sent to Bristol Crown Court for a hearing next month.
It follows an alleged incident which took place at the bottom of Lansdown Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Forensic officers sealed off the pedestrian area at the junction with Hay Hill while investigations were underway.
