UPDATE: Pedestrian lying on A367 in Radstock struck and killed by vehicle

A man lying in the road in Radstock was killed when he was struck by a vehicle, police have confirmed.
The pedestrian was hit at 4.20am today on the A367, near Bath Road service station hand car wash.
It is not known why the man was lying in the road or whether he had slipped on ice.
He was confirmed dead at the scene.
An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesman said: "We are treating the death as unexplained.
"So far we have been unable to confirm the identity of the dead man."
The road was closed for several hours while accident investigators examined the scene.
Witnesses and anyone who was travelling along the road shortly before the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
UPDATE (4pm):
Police have released details of the clothing worn by the man who died in a bid to identify him.
He did not have any form of identification on him but he was white, of medium build, 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in, wearing a navy blue shirt with red and white dots, jeans, and smart black shoes.
Anyone who believes they know who he was should also contact police on 101.
