Angler Tim Ford lands top prize as River Avon stages third round of Sensas Commercial House League

The river was pacey and coloured for the third round of the Sensas Commercial House League, fished on 72 pegs from Rotork to Newbridge on the River Avon on Sunday.

It was fished in bright conditions with lots of leaves coming down the river. Many bream were caught, although most anglers struggled for bites.

Tim Ford of Preston Innovations Thatchers A won the match from peg 7. He balled it in on the pole line and then fished a feeder over the top of it with worm on the hook. He had 3 bream and a skimmer in the 90 minutes then it went quiet except for a 1 lbs perch. With 1 hour 45 to go he had a mad 20 minute spell which produced 6 bream including one of 7 lbs 14 ozs, before catching 2 more with 30 mins to go.

2nd was Lee Warden of M & N Electrical from peg 26. He also balled it in on the pole line and fished the feeder over the top with worm. He caught 8 bream in the 2nd half of the match.

Rich Lacey of Maver Bathampton Invincible was 3rd from peg 20R He balled it in down the middle and fished the feeder over the top. He caught 8 bream on worm & maggot.
