Families who want to keep fit together can still sign up for the Bath Half Family Fun Run.
The run, which takes place just after the start of the half marathon on Sunday, March 3, has grown in size year on year, with more than 1,000 people taking part last time.
There are still places available, but they are limited so people are urged to sign up quickly.
Race director Andrew Taylor said: "The fun run always sells out before race day, and we always see a flurry of entries early in the new year, so for those thinking about taking part, I would encourage you to do so now to ensure you don't miss out."
The course is just over 1.5 miles long and completely traffic-free. Entrants can run, walk, stroll or skip around the course, and children and adults of all ages and abilities are encouraged to register and get involved.
Mr Taylor said: "The fun run is perfect for children and families with pushchairs who want to walk the course, as well as adults who have taken on a new year challenge and want to break themselves in to running events slowly before taking on a longer distance course."
The official charity for the fun run is I CAN, a children's communication organisation which works with youngsters who have difficulties with speaking, listening and understanding.
Its head of community and corporate fundraising Lynne Regal said: "We have a fantastic team of runners all gearing up for the half marathon and fun run course.
"All the money raised by our fun runners and half marathon runners will go to I CAN's work with the 1.2 million children in the UK with a speech, language and communication difficulty who need extra help to achieve their potential."
Runners are computer-chip timed and will receive a fun run T-shirt, a race medal and a goody bag.
