People of all ages across the city have been nominated for awards recognising their hard work and dedication.

For the second year running, The Pride in Bath awards are being held, to give readers the chance to nominate those who have made a difference in their community, or who have shown great bravery, compassion or commitment.

The awards are a collaboration between The Bath Chronicle and BMI Bath Clinic, at Claverton Down.

The youngest person nominated is four-year-old Seb White, who is in the running for Young Person of the Year.

Seb, who has Down's Syndrome, has modelled for Marks & Spencer, appearing in the firm's catalogue and Christmas television advert.

He is a familiar face in Oldfield Park, where he lives, and was even asked to switch on the Christmas lights in Moorland Road.

The anonymous nomination says: "Four-year-old Seb White, who has Down's Syndrome, has taken the modelling world by storm, even featuring in the M&S Christmas catalogue and the TV advert.

"His mum Caroline is passionate about people with disabilities being in the public eye and has gone on numerous news programmes to talk about her son and his modelling."

There are many people in the community who perform selfless service and work to help others – from litter picking to caring for a relative or supporting a charity.

So do you know someone who gives up their time to help others, has been brave in the face of adversity, or who has done something remarkable?

You can nominate them in one of the eight categories – Carer, Community Champion, Heroic Act, Charity Fundraiser or Volunteer, Young Person, Environmental Hero, Public Sector Hero, and GP Practice.

To nominate a person visit www.thisisbathco.uk/prideawards, or fill in the form on this page.

An awards ceremony will be held on March 7 at the Assembly Rooms, where the winners will receive £500, with a £1,500 prize for the best GP practice.
