Manchester United are lining up an audacious bid to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League from Real Madrid, according to reports.
Officials at Old Trafford have conceded their attempts to resign Cristiano Ronaldo are extremely unlikely and have now turned their attentions to Real team-mate Bale.
The Red Devils tried to sign Bale from Tottenham Hotspur last summer but he instead plumped to complete a dream £85million move to the Bernabeu.
The Daily Star, however, claims that Bale's place in the Madrid side is under threat despite him helping them win a tenth Champions League title last season and United will monitor the situation closely.
