Bath Rugby head coach Mike Ford believes he has a plan capable of ending Aviva Premiership leaders Saracens' unbeaten start to the new season.
Defeat at champions Northampton Saints last weekend saw Bath surrender top spot in the early-season table, with Sarries climbing to the summit following their fourth consecutive victory.
The two sides will go head to head at The Rec on Friday (7.45pm) and Ford says Bath must back themselves to compete with the best if they are to come out on top.
"Saracens will be a huge test. They're the only team who we didn't take anything off last year; we didn't even get a bonus point against them at home or away," said Ford.
"Everyone knows what's coming but we think we've got a game that can unlock them. The proof will be in the pudding, so it should be an exciting game.
"We've looked at how to get better from Northampton. I think we're in a situation where we can express ourselves.
"We know Saracens are a good side. They can put pressure on you and strangle you and make you do things you don't want to do.
"But it's about time we said: 'We understand that but actually this is what we do.'
"Did we concentrate too much on Northampton last week and give them too much respect?
"Perhaps we should have said: 'This is the way we want to play and what we can do, and actually you should be worried about us.'
"We're evolving all the time as a team and we're now very confident going into these games against the top-four teams."
Sarries have topped the regular season standings in each of the last two campaigns and will be many people's favourites to complete a hat-trick in 2014-15.
But they have already shown signs of fallibility this term and Ford hopes his team can exploit that at The Rec.
"Wasps did really well against them in the first game of the season, they obviously had a fantastic result against Quins after that, but then Irish were one play away from beating them," said Ford.
"And Sale scored three tries against them on Saturday, which is unusual.
"But they're top of the league, they're strong and whatever's gone on in the past they'll be at their best on Friday night whoever they pick."
