A Sainsbury's colleague has left the company looking somewhat red-faced today.
A poster, intended to be seen for employees only, was put up in one of its store windows. It encourages its staff to try to get an extra 50p out of its customers.
It read: "Fifty pence challenge: Let's encourage every customer to spend an additional 50p during each shopping trip between now and the year end ."
Passer-by Chris Dodd took the picture (above) and took to Twitter to alert the company about the apparent error.
It has not been revealed which store the mistake was made.
