Bath Rugby are appealing for local folk to help clear The Rec of snow and help tomorrow's Amlin Challenge Cup game against Bucharest Wolves go ahead as scheduled.
The Rec currently has a knee-deep blanket of snow on top of covers, which have been on the pitch all week to protect it from the freezing weather.
Bath Rugby coach Toby Booth said the pitch was playable but the challenge was removing all of the snow in time for the Pool 4 game.
"If you are free and have a shovel, please come help us clear the snow off the pitch," the club tweeted.
The Pool 4 game is currently still scheduled for a 2.15pm kick-off tomorrow but Bath have until Wednesday to stage it if necessary.
The Bucharest squad landed at Heathrow this morning and are currently on route to the South West.
A statement on Bath Rugby's website said: "At present, there is no reason to think that the game against Bucharest Wolves will not go ahead as scheduled.
"The pitch at The Rec has been covered with a heated tent since Sunday, blowing hot air on to the pitch and keeping it protected from recent freezing weather, and will continue to protect it against the forecast snow.
"If there is any change, we will let you know as soon as we can."
The Bath Rugby ticket office had been closed earlier but has now opened. Alternatively, tickets can be bought by calling 0844 448 1865.
