Head coach Mike Ford hailed his Bath Rugby troops for a fantastic display as they inflicted the heaviest ever defeat on Leicester Tigers in the history of the Aviva Premiership on Saturday.
Bath's emphatic 45-0 victory at The Rec saw them make it three wins from three at the start of the season and sent them top of the fledgling table.
The hosts dominated in all aspects of the pitch in one of the best performances produced by a Bath side in recent memory as Tigers failed to get on the scoreboard for the first time in a top-flight match.
Semesa Rokoduguni, Jonathan Joseph, Kyle Eastmond, Olly Woodburn and Peter Stringer all touched down for Bath, while fly-half George Ford added 20 points with the boot.
Head coach Ford said: "We were very good in all aspects, pretty relentless really – to nil Leicester is absolutely fantastic.
"There's a clip in the second half which I'll keep showing over and over to the boys where we kept knocking them backwards.
"Neal Hatley has been doing our defence this year and he turned it around massively from last week against London Welsh.
"This time last year we were 21-3 up at half-time against Leicester and they came back to score three tries themselves. We seem to be better at learning from the past which is what this young team needs.
"The five tries and bonus point is the most pleasing thing. To be in with a chance of winning games you've got to be able to score points.
"We know Leicester have got injuries but the way we played, the way we defended and attacked, was outstanding.
"Manu Tuilagi and Anthony Allen were big losses for them before the game but we didn't let that affect us. That's what happened a couple of times last year.
"The pack were fantastic. The lineouts could have been a little bit better but our drive, stopping their drive, and the scrums were very, very good. The forwards set the platform, and the kids really enjoyed themselves behind the scrum."
The victory gives Bath the perfect start to what seemed an extremely tricky three-game run, as they travel to Premiership champions Northampton Saints next before runners-up Saracens visit The Rec.
Ford says he hopes the rest of the league stand up and take notice of this performance but that Bath will not be getting carried away.
"We've got Northampton away now, which is a sobering thought. We just want to get better and better as there is loads of potential in this team even after that performance," said Ford.
"Hopefully teams will be afraid of us because if we get it right that's what we can do.
"But it's still only September. We were in the top four all last year and lost out on the last day."
