Argentina centre-half Federico Fazio will be allowed to leave Sevilla for Tottenham Hotspur after the Europa League winners lined up Juventus star Angelo Ogbonna as his replacement.
And Fazio could be joined at White Hart Lane by Switzerland World Cup defender Fabian Schar, who would cost around £12million from FC Basel.
Towering defender Fazio is expected to move for around 10million euro and would be new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino's fifth signing of the summer.
Spanish newspaper Elgolddigital say the move should go ahead in the next couple of days, with Fazio set to miss Sevilla's opening La Liga fixture on Sunday.
Schar, meanwhile, impressed Spurs director of football Franco Baldini during Basel's match against Sion last week and the Mirror claim a move has now been given the green light.
