Glasgow 2014: Teenagers Siobhan-Marie O'Connor and Amelia Maughan help England to bronze in 4x200m freestyle relay

Siobhan-Marie O'Connor bagged her fourth medal of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games as she and fellow Bath-based teenager Amelia Maughan helped England's 4x200m freestyle relay team to a bronze on Saturday night. The duo teamed up with Rebecca Turner and Ellie Faulkner to round off a successful evening for their country at Tollcross. Adam Peaty claimed 100m men's breaststroke gold moments beforehand, while Fran Halsall took the 50m women's freestyle crown. England clocked 7mins 52.45secs for third place behind Australia – who set a Games record of 7: 49.90 – and silver medallists Canada. There was disappointment for Bath swimmer Rachel Williams, however, as her Welsh quartet was disqualified from the final. Former St Gregory's Catholic College pupil O'Connor, 18, had already won a hat-trick of silver medals in the 100m butterfly, 200m freestyle and 4x100m freestyle relay. She has the chance to collect a fifth medal when she competes in the 200m individual medley on Sunday. Earlier in the evening, Bath swimmer Lizzie Simmonds finished fifth in the 100m backstroke final after clocking 1:00.26. Gold went to Australia's Emily Seebohm in a Games record 59.37.
