MATCH REPORT: Bath City 1 Cheltenham Town 1 Ross Stearn was on target as Bath City's promising pre-season campaign continued with a home draw against SkyBet League 2 outfit Cheltenham Town. Following matches against Cardiff City and Bristol Rovers, City were facing full-time opposition at Twerton Park for the third successive Saturday and had the better of the first half. As temperatures soared, Dave Pratt and Andy Watkins gave a Robins defence featuring new signing Matt Taylor plenty to think about. Stearn opened the scoring seven minutes before the interval after being set up by Frankie Artus, who was facing his former club. Another Cheltenham old boy, skipper Andy Gallinagh, shone at the back for City in the first period but his defence was finally breached with 14 minutes to go. It was Gallinagh who tripped trialist Rakish Bingham inside the area and Matt Richards beat keeper Jason Mellor from the penalty spot.
