Bid to be crowned Bath's top hairdresser

There's still time to enter our Hairdresser of the Year competition, but you will have to be quick. If you know a cutting-edge hair stylist, creative colour technician or technical hair specialist, then we want to know about it as we search for the best in Bath.

Sophia Pace, stylist and colourist at Giuseppes salon in Terrace Walk, Bath was delighted to be nominated.

She said: "I have been a hairdresser all my working life, I was born into it, I have never done anything else."

Sophia is the daughter of the salon owner, Giuseppe Pace, who has been a hairdresser in Bath for nearly 30 years.

Mr Pace originally comes from Sicily, and many of his extended family are hairdressers.

Sophia, 27, started out aged 14 working at her father's salon every Saturday.

She trained at Bath City College and has been working with her father ever since. She also does weddings privately.

She said: "Some of my clients have been with me for years, but I am always getting new people in as well."

Client Sabrina Earnshaw, who nominated Ms Pace, said: "I couldn't recommend Sophia at Giuseppes enough! Great colour and cut at a lovely independent salon and always a pleasure to have a catch up. I wouldn't go anywhere else."

Entry closes next Tuesday, July 15. Once all the nominations are in readers can vote for their favourite and the top five stylists will be invited to City of Bath College to take part in a live final, where they will be judged by a top stylist.

Voting closes on August 19, and the winner will be crowned at the live final on August 22. The winning hair salon will be determined by public votes. Terms and conditions apply. Token collect. For details visit www.bathchronicle.co. uk/HOTY.
