Barcelona winger Alexis Sanchez, 25, is to prefer an Arsenal move over Liverpool. Barcelona are believed to be close to completing a deal for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, 27, but they hope to sell Sanchez to Liverpool as part of a cheaper deal. The Chilean attacker will ultimately decide who he will play for though.
James Rodríguez - one of the stars of the World Cup, if not the tournament's best player with six goals and two assists - has brought a lot of interest to the Premier League but he has no desire to move to England. The Colombian midfielder plays his club football for AS Monaco and has expressed a desire to play in La Liga over the more physical English game.
Italian side Juventus is willing to part with midfielder Arturo Vidal, 27 for £32m. Manchester United have been heavily linked to the player, and may now make an offer for the Chilean international.
Arsenal is yet to agree a fee for Newcastle right-back Mathieu Debuchy. Debuchy, 28, is seen as a replacement for Bacary Sagna who signed for Manchester City at the end of his contract. Arsenal and Newcastle are believed to be in advanced talks with only a fee to be agreed.
Former Arsenal striker Eduardo, 31, could return to the Premier League. QPR is now believed to be keen on the striker. Eduardo has left Shaktar Donetsk and so is a free agent, should Harry Redknapp pursue a move for him. Stoke City and West Ham are also thought to be interested in the Brazilian-born player.
Former Chelsea and Arsenal left-back Ashley Cole is believed to be in talks over a two-year deal with Roma.
