Pedal power has helped to raise £11,500 for charity.
While many supporters of Cancer Research UK took to the charity's official Race for Life, women across the globe have also been jumping on to bikes for Sp1n for Life.
Organised by mother-of- three Sharly MacLennan, from Saltford, dozens of fund- raisers took part in spinning classes all at the same time in countries such as Germany, Cyprus, Canada, Afghanistan and also Saudi Arabia.
She said: "Many of us have been affected by cancer in some way or another, either personally or a loved one, and I wanted to find a way to support Cancer Research UK so that we can find a cure to beat the disease.
"Cancer Research UK Race for Life is one of their most recognised annual events but I wanted to organise an alternative event knowing that not everyone likes to run."
The first Sp1n for Life was held in 2013 and took place in six countries raising over £10,000 for Cancer Research UK.
The aim this year was to have it take place in even more locations, raising more money for the charity.
Local fundraising manager for Cancer Research UK, Kate Constance, said: "We are so grateful to Sharly for coming up with such a great idea to inspire others to raise funds for our very vital cause.
"Cancer Research UK receives no government funding for the work that we do, we rely totally on people like Sharly and supporters of Sp1n for Life to help fund our research."
Locally Spinning classes were held in Radstock, Keynsham, Writhlington and Portishead.
