Police have appealed for information to help trace a man who indecently exposed himself to a woman in Writhlington. The incident happened just before 8am on Monday, May 19, as the 25-year-old woman was walking to work along Magdalene Road, although officers have only just released the details. When the victim walked across an area of wasteland towards Mill Lane, a man appeared in front of her, asked her for the time and then exposed himself. The woman walked off quickly, shocked but unhurt. The man is described as white, aged 25-30, 5ft 6ins tall and of medium build. He was clean shaven with a shaven head of dark brown or black hair. He was wearing a black jacket zipped up and dark jeans. He did not have a local accent. A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said the victim said the man seemed to be in a "happy mood" and may have been under the influence of drugs. Anyone who may have seen a man of that description in the Writhlington area at that time is asked to contact Radstock police on 101 quoting crime reference number 50588/14.
