Academy graduate Chris Cook has agreed a new one-year contract at Bath Rugby, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old scrum-half has come through the ranks at The Rec and made his Aviva Premiership debut in late 2011.
Although Cook has found first-team opportunities hard to come by of late, he was a key member of the Bath United side that won the Aviva A League title with victory over Northampton Wanderers last December.
He has not featured in a Premiership match in more than a year but is currently on loan at London Welsh, helping them fighting for promotion to the top flight. Cook also enjoyed a successful loan period at Cornish Pirates earlier this season where he gained valuable game time.
Cook said: "I'm delighted to stay at Bath. I started my career here and to be part of this club as it looks to continue developing over the coming seasons is a really exciting opportunity for me."
Bath head coach Mike Ford, added: "Cookie is a very talented young player and we're looking forward to helping him to improve and hone the skills he already has to make him even better."
