Families head to Bathwick Hill for Easter fun

Children young and old headed for Bathwick Hill to take part in some Easter fun. The National Trust organised an array of egg-themed activities to get families out of doors and enjoying Easter. Rangers were on hand to help children decorate hard boiled eggs before taking part in egg rolling competitions down the hill. Lyra Skinner, six, was visiting family from London for the weekend. Dad Jethro, said: "It's the best view in Bath, good for walking the dogs and the fact this is on is great for the children." Paul Miller, from Putleney Gardens, was out with his two sons three-year-old Jack and one-year-old Billy. "We've come up here to have some fun, roll some eggs and enjoy some family time." Stephanie and Richard Brown, from Great Pulteney Street, proved adults could also enjoy the egg rolling. Mrs Brown said: "I think it's great they are reintroducing Bath to these traditions of Easter and families can have fun. We don't have children but I've donated an egg. We are old enough to know better but we are going to have a go." Head ranger for the National Trust, Rob Holden, said the Easter activities were rekindling Bath's love of the out doors. "It's about simple pleasures and enjoying Easter. It's about being with your family and doing something out of doors." Throughout the Easter weekend the National Trust was also holding an Easter egg trail around Prior Park.
