Video: Bath Rugby Foundation supporters cycle to Gloucester . . . to see the team win

Olympian Heather Fell joined 50 cyclists on a fundraising ride from Bath to Gloucester.

The challenge, organised by the Bath Rugby Foundation, saw riders leave The Rec and cycle 50 miles to Gloucester Rugby's Kingsholm Stadium.

Participants arrived in time to watch Saturday's crunch match between the two teams.

And after celebrating Bath's victory they cycled home the next day.

The foundation works with children and young people in the community.

Fell, who won silver in the women's modern pentathlon event in 2008 and took part in a bike ride for the charity last year, said: "Since getting involved with Bath Rugby Foundation for last summer's Ride Across Britain, I've had the chance to witness the great work they do and how it supports young people in our city.

"As a result of last year, I now love any excuse to cycle. Combine that with raising money for a brilliant charity, supporting Bath Rugby in the local derby, and it was a weekend I could not miss."

Former Bath Rugby players Danny Grewcock, Lee Mears, John Hall and David Trick also took part.

Grewcock said: "Bath Rugby Foundation has always played a huge part in the lives of the Bath players as they assist in the amazing work that's achieved in the local community.

"As a retired player, my new role is to help with the fundraising and again put myself through the pain of physical exercise without the preparation and training I would have done as a professional player."
