Around 500 people will come together to walk through the city on Friday, following giant crosses to mark the end of lent and celebrate the Passion of Christ.
The cross walks start at 9am from six different points around the city, and will culminate at Bath Abbey. They will arrive at 11.05am for an act of witness in the Abbey Church yard.
Organisers are expecting a strong turnout to descend on the area in front of the abbey this year. They will sing several songs, including Westlife's number one hit You Raise Me Up.
Following the songs the gathering will be addressed by Bath Abbey rector, the Rev Edward Mason.
David Pendle, secretary to Churches Together in Bath, said: "The whole thing is a reflective process, from the time the walks begin until they leave the abbey.
"It's all about Good Friday, the crucifixion and a remembrance of that period and how important it is for Christians."
The walks will pause at several points for a hymn, reading and a reflection period. Anyone interested is encouraged to join at the most convenient station.
For those unable to make the walk, there is an ecumenical service in the Abbey at 10.30am, which will finish in time for the final act of witness.
There are also two alternative walks, one starting from Oldfield Baptist Church and the other at The Church of the Good Shepherd, Batheaston. Both begin at 10am.
Information on specific starting points and times can be found online at http://www.bathchurches.org.uk/goodfridaycrosswalks.htm.
