Pupils at St Michael's Junior School in Bath have stepped back in time to the end of the Second World War as part of their history studies.
The Year 6 children have been learning about the war during this term and ended their module with some VE Day celebrations.
They all went into school wearing 1940s-themed clothing and had the chance to sing wartime songs, p ut on a tea party for parents and show off their dancing abilities.
It had been organised by Year 6 teacher Chris Bentley-Taylor and followed on from an evacuation day earlier this year.
Rebecca Mellor, the other class teacher, said it had been a way to bring the war to life and allow children to learn about the history in a really interactive way.
She said: "They have really thrown themselves into all of this wholeheartedly and have loved finding out about the war and experiencing it for themselves."
The VE Day event included a tea party for parents, who enjoyed homemade cakes and were then entertained with renditions of Run Rabbit Run and the theme to Dad's Army, followed by the youngsters performing a waltz.
