Giant Bath Rugby back Matt Banahan has thrown his weight behind motocross' SR75-Molson Team. Banahan, capped 13 times by England, has invested in the UK-based outfit, who are currently going for glory in the indoor Garmin Arenacross Tour series. The team's star riders are French SX specialist Cyrille Coulon and twice British supercross and motocross champion Carl Nunn. Europe's biggest and richest indoor race series and the most intensive championship outside of America comes to a conclusion at Wembley Arena on Saturday. Banahan said: "I'm super excited to be investing in such an awesome sport. "Motocross is one of the toughest sports on the planet and the skill, strength and mental focus to race is phenomenal, let alone even ride a bike round the track. "I am also excited about investing in a sport that historically has struggled with more mainstream coverage and funding. "The Garmin Arenacross Tour is one of the most exciting race series I have ever seen and the fact that our team is doing so well is the icing on the cake. "I want to wish Cyrille and Carl good luck for London Wembley – grip it and rip it lads and I look forward to seeing you on the night." The London date is the series showdown following events in Belfast, Birmingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Sheffield which have been watched by more than 35,000 fans.
