Fire crews used buckets of water to put out a small fire at a home in Oldfield Park.
Avon Fire and Rescue sent two appliances from Bath station to the incident on Cotswold Road, Oldfield Park, last night at just after 6pm.
According to the fire service the fire, which was in the living room, was so small crews used buckets of water to put it out and a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
The crews were at the scene for 20 minutes and it is believed the fire was started by accident.
No one is thought to have been hurt.
