Fire crews were called to Babington House, near Frome, after a 22-year-old man got his hand caught in an ice-making machine.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to get his hand free and he was taking to hospital by ambulance.
The full extent of his injuries are not known.
Babington House is a hotel and members-only country club, which hit the headlines in the summer when it was the venue for the wedding of rapper Professor Green and Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh.
