A collision between three cars shut part of the A36.
Police were called to the A36 outside the Red Lion pub at 12.30pm.
Three cars had collided, resulting in the road being closed in both directions between the B3110 junction and Beckington Roundabout.
A man in his 50's was reported to have had chest pains, but was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The vehicles have been recovered and the road is now opened.
