A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious head injuries this morning after an incident in which he was struck by a taxi near Bath.
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following what they are describing as a serious road traffic collision between Odd Down and Dunkerton.
They were called to the collision between the taxi and a pedestrian at the junction of the A367 with the B3115 Tunley road at 2.50am.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area at the time of the incident. Anyone able to help is asked to call the police on 101.
