Police are appealing for witnesses after a man had his iPhone stolen while his friends were posing with the Honey Monster in Bath.
The victim was outside Bath Rugby Club at between 5.15pm and 5.55pm on Saturday evening.
He was standing on the river path near the exit gate taking a picture of some of his friends with the Honey Monster mascot.
While he was doing this his phone was snatched from his hands.
The victim and his friends chased the thief but he threw the phone in the river before running off towards North Parade Road.
An investigation has begun to identify the person responsible and police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the theft or seeing the offender leaving the area.
