People in Bath are raising money to support people left with nothing after the typhoon in the Philippines.
Pupils from Prior Park College raised more than £2,000 through a day of activities.
There was a raffle, hot chocolate and cake sale, darts, and boys from the senior school had their legs waxed.
The most successful event was a 24-hour cycle challenge, where staff and pupils from Roche House took it in turns to cycle for an hour each.
Head James Murphy- O'Connor said: "There was a special feel, with every member of our community in some way giving of their time and effort, or making a donation."
A group of Guides from the 50th Bath group served food and drink to people visiting the Bathford Christmas Fair and raised £77.55 to help fund emergency health kits and buckets for clean water to people affected by the disaster.
A concert was held to support the Oblates of Notre Dame – a Filipino congregation of nuns working in the worst-affected areas.
The event at Chapel Arts Centre was organised by Filipino Elenita Hisug Bridges, who has lived in Peasedown St John for ten years.
She said: "For many Filipinos with families and friends directly and indirectly affected by this catastrophe , this humanitarian crisis is a numbing experience."
The Rotary Club of Bath raised £6,500 to buy essential water survival boxes which have been sent to the disaster area. They are plastic containers contain chlorine tablets as well as basic survival items and a tent.
